We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of GMP Manufacturing for a leading pharmaceutical Chemical R&D company. In this role you will manage the GMP manufacturing facility for small molecule manufacturing. The role As the Senior GMP Manufacturing Manager you will have overall responsibility for the manufacturing operations including leading a team of Manufacturing Chemists & Organic Chemists, ensuring GMP compliance, H&S and completion of projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities · Lead a team of Production Chemists within the GMP Manufacturing. · Manage all manufacturing activities including production plans, scheduling, H&S, compliance and regulatory requirements. · Lead on audits with Quality ensuring all non-conformances are investigated and CAPAs implemented · Work in collaboration with all departments (R&D, Analytical QC, QA, Operations and commercial). · Present project updates and manufacturing data to senior leadership team. Ideal candidates will be PhD or degree qualified in Chemistry (preferable Organic chemistry) and have experience in managing GMP manufacturing for Chemical, small molecules or API production. Duties include: · Carry out synthetic chemistry. · Design and run experiments using several laboratory techniques. · Support scale-up and the development of the company’s technology · Write and review technical reports and documentation. Ideal candidates will: Have a degree or Masters (MChem, MSc, MSci) in Chemistry and have experience in synthetic chemistry (either from a project or within industry).
