We are currently recruiting for a Lead Footwear Technologist for a research and testing company in the midlands. The role: As a Lead Footwear Technologist, you will supervise a small team of technologists and laboratory technicians, overseeing several projects liaising directly with the customer. You will have the responsibility setting and monitoring KPIs, H&S and delivery of projects on time. Duties include: · Manage a small team – mentoring, appraisals, training, · Manage projects and workflow through the department. · Develop continuous improvement. · Develop physical testing experiments. · Manage client queries and report all results/ project reports. Ideal candidates will have experience in physical testing techniques, problem solving and project management. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills. Experience dealing with customers within the footwear, materials testing (PPE, fabric etc) is highly desirable. As an QHSE Officer, you will support the management for all health and safety, quality and environmental processes on site. Responsibilities include: · Support and manage the companies QMS documentation. · Support and carry out audits. · Investigate complaints and non-conformances. · Coordinate documents relating to Health & Safety including near misses and incidents. · Maintenance of the company’s environmental records. · Communicate with all employees, visitors, suppliers and clients, to ensure QHSE requirements are understood, undertaken and completed in a timely manner. Ideal candidates will have: Experience in Quality and/ or H&S within the Pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
