Rowland Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Medicinal Chemist for a growing Pharmaceutical company in the East Midlands.
Reporting to the Head of Chemistry you will manage client projects of early stage drug discovery, developing novel small molecule drugs.
Duties include:
- Develop synthetic routes and perform synthesis of agreed target molecules
- Multi-step synthesis, reaction optimisation and scale-up (mg - gs).
- Solve complex medicinal and synthetic chemistry problems.
- Design and carry out experiments using standard laboratory techniques.
Ideal candidates will have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry, with experience in multi-step organic synthesis. You will have previous industrial/ Post Doc experience in, ideally, one the following therapeutic areas: inflammatory, obesity, cardiovascular disease, oncology and immunology.
