We are currently looking for a Medicinal Chemist and a Senior Scientist to join a growing drug discovery company in the East Midlands.
The role:
As a Medicinal Chemist you will support small molecule drug discovery projects across a range of therapeutic areas. Working as part of an integrated project team you will design and conduct synthesis of novel molecular targets.
Responsibilities:
- Support a range of drug discovery projects from hit identification, hit-to-lead, through lead optimisation and candidate selection.
- Design and execute novel and complex synthetic routes to challenging chemical targets.
- Work collaboratively within a project team to ensure project milestones are met.
- Write and review project reports.
Ideal candidates for the Medicinal Chemist role:
Will be PhD qualified in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry.
As a Medicinal Chemist, you will have expertise in route design and in carrying out challenging multistep synthetic organic chemistry.
For the Senior Scientist role candidates will have some experience working in industry or as a Post Doc.
