We are currently looking for Senior Medicinal Chemists/ Principal Scientists for a leading Drug Discovery company. Joining this rapidly growing company you will manage a team of Scientists and lead pivotal projects for global customers.
As a Principal Scientist/ Group Leader your responsibilities will include:
- Design and plan small molecule drug discovery projects including hit identification, hit to lead and lead optimisation campaigns.
- Manage resources and a team of Medicinal Chemists/ project teams to deliver potential drug compounds to project timescales.
- Prepare and review written reports and presentations of project progress and strategy.
- Synthesis/ oversee the synthesis and troubleshoot a wide range of novel drug molecules from milligram to multigram scale.
Ideal candidates will have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry and have experience in drug discovery gained within the pharmaceutical, CRO or Biotech industry. You will have a track record in leading teams or projects in the discovery of small-molecule drugs and have exceptional skills in synthetic organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry.
