A leading Pharmaceutical CRO in the East Midlands are looking for PhD Medicinal Chemists.
The role:
Design novel molecular targets to overcome challenging medicinal chemistry problems. As a Medicinal Chemist you will work on several different projects to design and synthesise novel synthetic routes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide synthetic chemistry expertise to drug discovery projects at the hit-to-lead and lead optimization stage.
- Design and execute novel and complex synthetic routes to challenging chemical targets.
- Plan and carry your own work managing projects or part of projects, ensuing all work is carried out to a high standard and on time.
- Write and review project reports and present to managers and customers.
Ideal candidates will be PhD qualified in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry. It is desirable that candidates have experience working in industry or as a Post Doc, although recently qualified PhDs are encouraged to apply.
To be successful in this role will have a solid understanding of medicinal and synthetic chemistry and have experience in designing and executing complex synthetic routes.
