We are currently looking for Organic Chemists and Medicinal Chemists for a growing Drug Discovery company in the East Midlands.
The role:
Joining this award-winning company, you will support Medicinal Chemistry projects in early stage drug discovery by developing novel small molecule drugs at the hit-to-lead and lead optimization stage.
Duties include:
- Synthesis, purification, and characterisation of new molecules
- Carry out experiments using standard laboratory techniques.
- Develop synthetic routes and perform synthesis of agreed target molecules.
- Compile and review customer reports and documentation.
Ideal candidates will:
Have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry, with experience in multi-step organic synthesis.
There are also opportunities for candidates with a Master’s degree (MChem, MSci, MSc) in Chemistry with an industrial placement year in synthetic organic chemistry.
