We are currently looking for Synthetic Organic Chemists and Medicinal Chemists for a growing pharmaceutical drug discovery company in the East Midlands.
The role:
As an Organic Chemist/ Medicinal Chemist, you will work on some very interesting research chemistry projects at early drug discovery stage.
In the role you will design and develop novel small molecule drugs at the hit-to-lead and lead optimization stage.
Duties include:
- Design and synthesise novel small molecules
- Carry out complex organic synthesis, purification, and characterisation of new molecules.
- Design and run experiments using a range of techniques.
- Develop synthetic routes and perform novel synthesis of target molecules.
- Compile and review project reports and documentation.
Ideal candidates for the Organic Chemist roles will:
Have a Master’s or PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry, with experience in multi-step organic synthesis.
