We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Biologist for a leading drug discovery company in the South East.
The role:
As a Structural Biologist/ Protein Scientist you will join the growing Protein Sciences team supporting protein purification, protein expression and structural analysis of proteins.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and carry out experiments to express and purify proteins (EG: mammalian cells or AKTA chromatography)
- Carry out protein crystallisation studies (Using X-ray crystallography)
- Prepare reports and present data.
- Work collaboratively with other scientists from different departments.
Ideal candidates will be:
PhD qualified in a Life Science subject such as Molecular Biology or Biochemistry (or similar) and have experience in molecular biology, recombinant protein expression and protein purification.
Successful candidates will have experience in mammalian cells and AKTA chromatography.
Experience in structural analysis of proteins by X-ray crystallography is highly desirable.
