We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Organic Chemist to join an award-winning drug discovery company as a Sales Specialist/ BD Executive.

The role could suit a laboratory based Organic Chemist with some customer-facing experience looking to move into a sales or BD role.

The role:

Working in the Business Development team you will respond proactively to business opportunities growing the company’s business in Europe and beyond!

 

Duties include:

  • Generate revenue for assigned territories (Europe) to agreed targets
  • Account management of client accounts.
  • New business development to grow the business.
  • Arrange client meetings and attending business events.
  • Report progress to the Business Development Director

 

Ideal candidates will be:

Degree or PhD qualified in Chemistry and have a background in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry working for a Pharmaceutical, CRO or Biotech company. You will have previous experience in a customer facing or sales position with the desire to develop your career in a commercial Business Development role.

To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated with excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills.

 

This role is either company or home based with frequent travel to customers and the company’s locations in the UK.
