We are currently looking for a Senior Assay Development Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical research company in Cheshire.

 

The role:

As a Senior Assay Development Scientist you will work on a range of drug discovery projects across different therapeutic areas developing novel Cell Based Assays and Biochemical Assays.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Support and lead research projects covering a range of disciplines including enzymology, cell biology and pharmacology.
  • Design and develop cell based assays and biochemical assays (Eg: Fluorescence/FRET, fluorescence polarisation, LC-MS, alphaLISA assays, phenotypic assays, proliferation assays, ELISA, western blots)
  • Interpret complex biological datasets to progress drug discovery projects.
  • Present data and project reports.

 

 

Ideal candidates:

Will be PhD qualified in a Life Sciences subject such as Pharmacology or Biochemistry and have experience in developing Cell Based, Biochemical Assays or Biophysical assays. You will have knowledge and/ or experience in a range of bioscience disciplines such as enzymology, biophysics, cell biology or pharmacology.
