We are currently looking for a Technical Manager for a chemical company in Cambridgeshire.
As the Technical Manager you will join the senior leadership team to oversee the chemical development and production departments. You will lead and dive operational excellence across the site improving quality processes, systems and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
· Lead and manage chemical development, process development and production teams.
· Review and analyse production and QC data to ensure compliance.
· Drive efficiency initiatives across the site, implementing improvements to enhance production and performance.
· Oversee and troubleshoot on issues arising from QC, Research, Development, Logistics, Maintenance, and Production, finding effective solutions.
· Act as the Site Director as and when required
Ideal candidates will have:
A degree/ Masters (MChem, MSc, MSci) or PhD in Chemistry/ Synthetic Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with several years’ experience leading Process Development, Chemical Production or Synthetic Chemistry teams in a Chemical or Pharmaceutical company.
You will have experience with continuous improvement with an understanding of 6 Sigma or similar methodologies to drive operational efficiency, along with a working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
